Vacations in Poland? Many people think it's a bad idea. Actually holidays in their own country can be very enjoyable and provide a memorable experience. Only what we have to do to so, then select a suitable place, which will provide us with entertainment, which we like. In Poland also we find sunny beaches, beautiful mountain village and many other interesting places that will give us wonderful moments. Each of us can of course choose the one that most will fall to his liking, and such a trip in the country has many advantages. We will not have to go very far and spend many hours on the road, and are often on such a trip we spend less, so you will save a little bit.


Książ - medieval polish castle

Książ (German: Schloss Fürstenstein) is a castle in Wałbrzych in Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Poland. It was built in 1288-1292 under Bolko I the Strict. It lies within a protected area called Książ Landscape Park, overlooks the Pełcznica River and is one of the city's main tourist attractions.

he original fortification was destroyed in the year 1263 by Ottokar II of Bohemia. Bolko I, Duke of Świdnica and Jawor built a new castle between 1288 and 1292. Duke Bolko II of Świdnica died in 1368 without having children with his wife Agnes von Habsburg. After her death in the year 1392 King Wenceslaus IV of Bohemia obtained the castle. In 1401 Janko from Chociemice obtained the castle. The Bohemian Hussites occupied the castle between 1428-1429. In the year 1464 Birka from Nasiedla obtained the castle from the Bohemian crown. He sold it to Hans von Schellendorf. This second castle was destroyed in 1482 by Georg von Stein. In the year 1509 Konrad I von Hoberg (from 1714: Hochberg) obtained the castle hill. The Hochberg family owned the castle until the 1940s.

Białowieża National Park

Białowieża National Park (Polish: Białowieski Park Narodowy) is a National Park in Podlaskie Voivodeship, in Eastern Poland adjacent with the border with Belarus. The total area of the park is 152.2 square kilometres (58.8 sq mi). It is located 62 km (39 mi) southeast of Białystok (Poland). It is known for the protection of the best preserved part of the Białowieża Forest, Europe's last temperate primaeval forest fragment that once stretched across the European Plain. It is home to the world's largest population of European bison (Polish: żubr), the continent's heaviest land animals.2 The border between the two countries runs through the forest, the Belovezhskaya Pushcha National Park is adjacent on the Belarus side of the border. There is a border crossing for hikers and cyclists within the forest.
